Where are your desks made?
Moonlab is based in Los Angeles, CA where we design and develop our products. We manufacture our products in Mexico. We work with small local businesses to source and cut our wood.
What are Moonlab desks made of?
Our desks are made from certified FRC Baltic Birch. FSC certified for sustainability & EPA certified for low emissions. It is strong, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is charged at the time of purchase.
When will you come out with more pieces?
Currently, we only offer the Moonlab desk. However, we are very excited to expand our product portfolio with a laptop stand, and a monitor shelf to upgrade your Moonlab desk. We have many ideas for new products that we plan to develop as we grow. Make sure to follow our Instagram -@moonlab.design- to stay updated!
Where can I see your products in person?
Moonlab products are sold exclusively through our website (you are here). We’re scheduling pop-up events in the near future. Follow us for updates. If you are interested in having a Moonlab pop-up in your city, or have any other questions email us at info@moonlab.design
Do you make custom orders?
We don’t offer customization for small orders. If you’re ordering in bulk 30+ we’ll consider different colors and discounts
Where did the name Moonlab come from?
Moonlab comes from the idea of working better from anywhere, you can have your working lab in the moon: Moonlab
Warranty
We offer a lifetime warranty that covers any defects in the materials or workmanship. There are no fees to repair or replace an item that is under warranty. The term "lifetime" relates to how long a product, its components, textiles, and materials will last. While we employ the highest-quality materials to make our products as long-lasting as possible, all materials degrade over time as a result of use, exposure to the elements, and normal wear and tear. The lifespan of a product is determined by how much it is used and how well it is cared for, not by its age. You have personally decreased the lifetime of your own product if you have allowed it to deteriorate due to neglect or abuse.

We use your personal information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

SHIPPING, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
How do I return an item?
It’s simple! Email us your order number and the products you want to return within 30 days of receiving your package. Repackage your purchase and we will send a return shipping label. Be sure to cover up the old shipping label and apply the return label to the outside of the package. Drop it off at any UPS location. Once we receive the product in good condition, you will be refunded minus the shipping cost.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Within the 48 contiguous states, you will receive your order in 1 week! If you are ordering from Alaska or Hawaii, please email us after making your purchase.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely! As soon as your order ships we’ll send FedEx tracking info for your use in following the shipment.
Do you ship internationally?
We are currently shipping to Mexico and U.S. But contact us for other locations, we will do our best.
Are there additional taxes / fees upon delivery?
All taxes and fees are included at checkout. You’ll be 100% paid in full upon checkout.
My package was damaged during shipping. What do I do?
Please email us photos of the damaged product and the packaging, and we will resolve the situation as soon as possible.
How will my order be delivered?
For seamless delivery, the Moonlab desk ships flat-packed in one box including the wall-mounted piece. Once you receive your desk, there is no assembly required - just open the package and you’re all set! We try to ship as sustainably as possible by using minimal packaging.
STORY
Ever since I was a child, I have been driven to design and create. From building Legos to the Moonlab desk, that same drive pushes me today. I studied architecture in university, which allowed me to work across all building needs, artistic and technical, including structure, design, materials, and regulations. After 6 years of architecture, I wanted to create new products. I decided to move from Spain to California in 2014 to pursue Industrial Design.
For the past 7 years, I have worked as an Industrial designer for start-ups and big companies. My portfolio includes electronic devices, backpacks, water bottles, sunglasses, and an award-winning device for the Apple watch. Through all these experiences I have learned about manufacturing, materials, functionality, and most importantly human-centric design. Now, I have decided to branch out on my own to create products designed specifically with you in mind.
Like many people around the world, my home became my office in 2020. I took this situation as an opportunity to work however and wherever I wanted. I wanted to optimize my space in order to increase my productivity while also being comfortable. This inspired me to design the Moonlab desk: a versatile desk that helps make everyday life work.
Additionally, I wanted the ability to work in different locations without sacrificing my productivity. Unfortunately, I am just not as productive on the couch! This inspired me to design a desk that is just as portable as my laptop. Take it to your balcony on a sunny afternoon, take it on your next road trip, or to a quiet room for that job interview. We have gone from working in an office to working from home and now working anywhere.
I designed the Moonlab desk not only with portability in mind, but also functionality and aesthetics. I didn’t want my personal space to become an office, so I made sure it could be collapsed or hidden when not in use. And when in use, this modern desk can be incorporated into any style of home. I worked hard to create a piece you feel proud to own. I hope you love the Moonlab desk just as much as we do!
